As stated so well by the Fascination people (so well that I didn't bother rewriting it...) our modern world is a place where everyone is on the go and snap judgments are all about snap information. The first thing you do when you meet someone new is look them up online. And if you only have 9 seconds then we want to make those seconds (and your website) WORK for you. You can make a start by knowing thyself.

Strength's Finder Test
The Clifton StrengthsFinder is a Web-based assessment of normal personality from the perspective of Positive Psychology. It is the first instrument of this type developed expressly for the Internet. It measures the presence of talents in 34 general areas. Talents are ways in which we naturally think, feel, and behave as unique individuals, and they serve as the foundation of strengths development.
This test is not free but it is SO worthwhile. I did it years ago where you purchased the book and received a unique code to access the quiz. It is the single most clarifying thing I've done and solidified my career choice as a personal brand designer. Now it is US$19.99 to do the test straightaway and get your top five.

Mine were Futuristic (I see what can be; many designers and dreamers have this one!), Ideation (Constant. Ideas. Like. All. The. Time. A creative one for sure.) Individualisation (I really care what makes each person unique, hence the PERSONAL brand part to the equation) plus I have Empathy (makes me go the extra mile) and Input (always info gathering).

When you can quickly explain how you add value, you make it easy for others to understand what you bring to the table. This personal brand statement (usually best shown on your website) gives a clear road map for how you are most likely to solve problems. Customers will see how you contribute as your value to them will be clear, simple and easy to understand.
The reason for this post today is because we at Repeatable have realised that our business best serves those in need of a personal brand. We have come to this conclusion very quickly based on the work we are securing and the way we like to operate.
We LOVE dealing with decision makers + people who are passionate about what they do + people what want to make an impact with their web/online presence + people who are fun and creative in the way they engage with their customers + who love the people they serve. And so far tick tick tick we have been incredibly fortunate to work with these people as they grow and define their businesses and take them to the next level.
I (Shayna) am a total sucker for these tests. Myers Briggs, Strength's Finder, the 4 Types (either represented by Melancholy, Choleric, Sanguine or Phlegmatic or the animals Beaver, Lion, Otter and Golden Retriever). And as I mentioned one of my key strengths is INDIVIDUALISATION. Which means it really interests me and I care deeply about what makes someone 'them'. What their strengths and unique gifts/ talents/ attributes/ contributions to the world are.
All that to say it makes sense why PERSONAL branding is the direction we are going. I like to think I can see you for who you are - different to all the other people in the world and in particular the other builders/chefs/beauticians or whatever vocation you hold - and can bring that out with the photos we take, the words we write and the way we bring your website together so it truly reflects a real, personal and effective brand presence.
