Is Your Business Branding Attracting the Right Clients?

What does your business branding say about you? Does it give your prospective clients the right impression? In this digital age, your prospective clients are bombarded with information from every angle. You need to make sure that your business branding is impressive enough to break through the noise and shine. So how can you give your clients the right impression with your branding? Here is how…

7 Business Branding Tips To Do It Right...

What’s In A Name?

Your business name is one of the first things you will need to consider. Your name doesn’t need to describe what you do, but it should make sense for your business. Steer clear of weird spelling because it will be too hard for your clients to remember. Avoid names that are similar to other brands to prevent confusion occurring. Most importantly, choose a name that resonates with you and that you can be proud of.

Your Audience

Your branding should speak to your target audience. So one of the first things you need to be sure of is who your audience are. Creating an avatar or a client persona can really help you drill down into their thoughts, pain points and needs. Then you can create branding that falls in line with all of those things.

I See Your True Colours…

Did you know that certain colours can affect the mood and buying patterns of your clients? Well they sure can. So make sure the colours you choose are attractive and fitting for your industry. For example, if you are an environmentally friendly business, then choose earthy tones like green and brown… perhaps not fluro orange.

Imaging

Getting the visual aspect right is very important. Your logo is obviously a key component of this, but you also want to have consistent imaging for your website, social media and marketing materials. Again, the images need to make sense for your brand. There is not much point in having a logo with a chicken on it, if you sell pigs.

Consistency Is Key

Once you have your brand established, it is a good idea to create a style guide so that your branding is consistent in every place that it needs to appear. Your business should be instantly recognisable from your branding. That means you need to use the same colours, fonts, imaging, and feel at every client interaction point. Don’t compromise professionalism by using a different background colour for the sake of it, or distorting the shape of your logo to make it fit into a space.

Don’t Be Old Fashioned

Design trends are changing all the time. So if your brand is looking a bit old fashioned, you could be turning clients away before you have even spoken with them. A designer will be able to subtly bring your brand up to date while still keeping your colours and persona. Prevent the need to constantly rebrand by choosing timeless colours and fonts instead of following extreme design fads.

Support The Visuals

The visual element of your brand is important, but you need to be able to back it up with your customer service and interactions. Choosing visual branding that compliments your business personality will help you to do that. Always strive to do your best for your clients. Underpromise and overdeliver for a service that matches your gorgeous branding!
